Peter has now retired but spent all of his 43 years working life with British Steel or versions thereof. Five Years of an Apprenticeship in Mechanical Engineering, 6 months in each production or service facility. Thereafter Peter designed and project managed the production, installation and commissioning of steel tube manufacturing plant in the UK and around the World. He led a Project Team of 40 Engineers. Single value projects of up to £500M. He lectured in Germany and the USA on Steel Tube Plant and Manufacturing processes. Peter was Justice of the Peace for 10 years, Chair for 7, sitting in the Adult, Youth and Crown Courts. He is also a Ist Class Cricket Umpire. Peter was a School Governor for 15 years and Chair for 7 years.
