Roland Gray

Trustee

Roland has practiced law since 1996, specializing in Commercial Real Estate. He is a senior equity Partner at Browne Jacobson LLP, having joined them at the end of 2021, following 23 years at Dentons UK and Middle East LLP (where he was a Partner form 2004).  He is head of the Retail and Consumer Sector practice at Brown Jacobson as well as lead of the Real Estate Innovation sector. Roland was previously a Partner at Dentons UK and Middle East LLP and head of the UK Real Estate practice out of London, and lead of their Real Estate Innovation and Tech programme, and a committee member of their Inclusion programme. Roland is also vice-chair of Governors at a stand-alone girls school n Northamptonshire and he has held previous secondary school governorships prior to this. He sits on the Nottingham Trent University Employers Board supporting their Law School and Employability team. Roland is a a keen participant in Motorsport competing, until recently, in classic motor-racing across the UK for a number of seasons.  He is an active member of 2 Badminton clubs in Northampton and a member of Overstone Park golf club in East Northampton. He is married with two children (both in secondary education) and enjoy owning and running classic cars, skiing and swimming with his family. He is an engaged and active member of various Diversity and Inclusion groups at work, and has led change management programmes for office relocations, changes in legal delivery, inclusion and adaptions to the pandemic through 2019-2021.  With a deep interest in AI technologies in his practice area, and expertise in handling elements of autonomous vehicles as a growth sector in law.
