Karen Dale has been an academic in the field of organisation studies (the ‘people’ side of work and organisations) for over 25 years. Prior to becoming an academic she was an HR and equality and diversity specialist in local government and the NHS. Having worked in 4 UK universities she has experience on a number of governance committees, such as research ethics; equality, diversity and inclusion; learning and teaching policy; promotions committee; and quality assurance. She has undertaken leadership roles in student welfare, teaching and research. She is committed to education for everyone as a means to achieving greater opportunities and inclusion.
